Our process has been refined over hundreds of projects. It is based on rapid iterations that produce concrete ideas and tangible prototypes that can be viewed, assessed, tested, and refined.

Stage 1. Conceptualization

Identify risk, plan, and generate ideas.

Key Activities:

  • Evaluation of risk associated with key characteristics.
  • Design strategy and concept evaluation.
  • Refine and evaluate the appearance and function.
  • Plans for the engineering architecture of ME, EE, and SW.

Outputs:

Stage 1. Concept Development

  • Create the assembly geometry in 3D CAD.
  • Simulations of bench models and prototypes.
  • Validate and hone fundamental design features.
  • PCB design and custom firmware development.

Outputs:

  • Release of the product concept to Detailed Engineering.
